ENU Students Master Robotics Technologies at the Luban Workshop

Fourth-year students of the educational programme 6B07113 “Transport, Transport Equipment and Technologies” are actively mastering modern robotics technologies at the Luban Workshop of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
The practical classes are organised based on the “learning by doing” approach. Students are introduced to the operating principles of a collaborative robot, study its structure and programming capabilities, and learn to program sequences of movements in space and control the robot’s gripper.
Particular attention is paid to developing practical skills — from creating basic commands to developing programmes that enable the robot to perform specified operations. This approach helps students gain a deeper understanding of modern robotics and its applications in the transport and industrial sectors.
The next stage of the training will focus on controlling robotic systems using artificial intelligence technologies. Students will explore modern approaches to intelligent control and learn how robotics and AI can be integrated to solve practical engineering tasks.
The classes are conducted by Ainash Bolatova, Candidate of Technical Sciences and Senior Lecturer.
Today, students at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University have extensive opportunities to study robotics, digital technologies, and intelligent systems. Hands-on work with modern equipment not only provides students with new knowledge but also helps them develop engineering thinking, acquire essential competencies, and gain practical skills for working with the technologies of the future.
