Kokaev Umirzhan Sheralievich was born on September 30, 1978, in the Kazygurt district of the South Kazakhstan region. In 1995, he graduated from secondary school with honors and in the same year was admitted to the Karatau Branch of the Kazakh National Technical University, majoring in 2805 “Automobiles and Automotive Engineering.” In 2000, he graduated with honors from M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz State University in this specialty, receiving the qualification of Mechanical Engineer.
He began his professional career in 2000 at the Agrotechnical University in the city of Karatau as a trainee lecturer and subsequently worked as a lecturer and senior lecturer.
From 2008, he served as a senior lecturer at M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz State University.
Since 2015, he has been an Associate Professor at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. From 2020 to 2023, he held the position of Responsible Secretary of the Admissions Committee.
Since January 2023, he has been serving as the Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Energy.
In 2009, he defended his candidate dissertation and was awarded the academic degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences.
He is the author of approximately 40 scientific works, including: 11 publications in journals recommended by the authorized body, 1 patent for an invention, 5 patents for utility models, 4 articles in scientific journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, 9 publications in other scientific journals, 7 textbooks and 1 monograph.
