About the international activities of the faculty
The Faculty of Transport and Energy and the Department of “Organization of Transportation, Traffic and Operation of Transport” conducts a lot of work within the framework of international cooperation with the Riga Technical University (Riga, Latvia)
ENU named after L.N. Gumilyov was repeatedly visited by the head of the Preparatory Department of the Riga Technical University (Riga, Latvia) Natalya Muracheva. As part of this meeting, Ms. Muracheva had a reception with Baubek Somzhurek, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Innovations of ENU. L.N. Gumilyov. At this meeting, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, they talked about the prospects for further cooperation with RTU within the framework of bilateral cooperation signed in 2012 between our universities. It was also noted that cooperation is carried out in all areas of university activities

The Dean of the Faculty of Transport and Energy, Professor T.B. Suleimenov, expressed gratitude to Mrs. Muracheva and in her person the leadership of the Riga Technical University for their cooperation. Also at the meeting with the dean, proposals were made to develop scientific and pedagogical ties between our universities, for example, RTU teachers could give lectures to students of our university, and professors from ENU. L.N. Gumilyov at RTU.
Great work by the head of the department “Organization of transportation, traffic and operation of transport”, Professor M.I. Arpabekov. and deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Sansyzbaeva Z.K. on successful cooperation within the framework of the exchange of students and undergraduates of the Riga Technical University (Riga, Latvia).

And the most important thing was the meeting of Mrs. Muracheva with students and undergraduates of the Faculty of Transport and Energy and the department of “Organization of transportation, traffic and operation of transport”, where there was a detailed conversation about the development of relations between our universities, joint scientific forums and seminars, research projects, academic mobility of students, undergraduates and advanced training of teaching staff. There was a very detailed conversation about the introduction of double-diploma education, in particular in the specialties of our faculty, because Diplomas issued by RTU are recognized in all European countries. The university provides high-quality scientific research and prepares high-quality, competitive specialists in demand on the international labor market.

At all meetings, Ms. Muracheva said that Riga Technical University (RTU) is one of the oldest higher technical educational institutions in Eastern Europe. It was founded in 1862. The University has approximately 17,000 students. Since 1991, RTU has been running educational programs in English. In accordance with the Lisbon Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications relating to Higher Education,
I would like to note the desire of the two universities that successful cooperation within the framework of the exchange of students and teachers will be further developed.
