As part of the topic “Healthcare: Culture of Prevention of Infectious Diseases,” an event was held for 2nd–3rd year students of the Department of Standardization, Certification and Metrology aimed at preventing tuberculosis and measles. The event was attended by Muhamedzhanova Nurzila Zhaksygalievna, a representative of the Department of Social and Civil Development, and Almatova Zhadira Khairzhanovna, a doctor at Astana Clinic LLP.
The main goal of the event was to develop a culture of prevention of infectious diseases among students, encourage them to take responsibility for their own health, and strengthen health education efforts within the student community.
During the event, students were provided with detailed information about the ways infectious diseases spread, their early symptoms, and the importance of seeking timely medical assistance. Special attention was given to the risks that tuberculosis and measles pose to public health, preventive measures, and the role of vaccination.
In her speech, Muhamedzhanova Nurzila Zhaksygalievna called on young people not to remain indifferent to public health issues. She emphasized the importance of developing information culture, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, undergoing timely medical check-ups, and improving health literacy.
Almatova Zhadira Khairzhanovna spoke about the main symptoms of tuberculosis (prolonged cough, weakness, fever, weight loss) and explained the necessity of regular fluorographic examinations. She also highlighted that measles is a highly contagious disease and stressed that vaccination is the most effective method of prevention, providing professional explanations on the topic.
During the meeting, students asked questions of concern to them and received comprehensive answers from the specialists.

At the Department of Standardization, Certification and Metrology, a curatorial hour on the topic “Independence Is My Pillar, Kazakhstan Is My Heart” was held with students of group Metr-41, organized by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor (Docent) Khaimuldinova A.K.
On December 10, 2025, a curatorial hour on the topic “Independence Is My Pillar, Kazakhstan Is My Heart” was held with students of group Metr-41 at the Department of Standardization, Certification and Metrology of the Faculty of Transport and Energy.
The purpose of the event was to foster a sense of patriotism among students and to promote the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its national values. During the curatorial hour, a meaningful discussion was held on the significance of the country’s independence, its historical achievements, and its current path of development.

Ludomania – A dangerous addiction among youth
Nowadays, one of the pressing social issues rapidly spreading among young people is gambling addiction, also known as ludomania. In this regard, in October 2025, the Department of Standardization and Certification held advisory (curator-led) sessions on the topic “Prevention of Ludomania” for the following student groups: SIS-11 and SIS-12 (curator: Akhmet A.Ә.), SIS-21 and Metr-21 (curator: Esmagambet A.D.), SIS-22 (curator: Abseitov E.T.), Metr-31 and Metr-33 (curator: Kirgizbaeva K.Zh.), SIS-41 and SIS-43 (curator: Ermakhanova F.R.), Metr-41 and Metr-42 (curator: Khaimuldinova A.K.).




On October 8, PhD, candidate of technical sciences and docent Kirgizbayeva K.Zh. conducted an open lesson on the subject "Production Metrological Support" with groups Metr 31 and Metr 33.



On October 3, candidate of technical sciences and acting associate docent F.R. Ermakhanova conducted an open lesson on the topic "Pareto Chart" as part of the course "Quality Management Tools" with groups SiS 31 and SiS 33.

“Law and Order” — Meeting of Students with the Astana City Police Department and the Police Department of the “Almaty District”
On September 25, 2025, a meeting with students was held on the initiative of the Astana City Police Department and the Police Department of the “Almaty District.” The Prosecutor of the Almaty District of Astana, Maratbek Myrzamuratov, and the Head of the District Police Department, Dias Tokatov, spoke about measures to prevent and combat offenses.
The event was attended by first-year students of the Department of Standardization and Certification. The main purpose of the meeting was to improve the legal awareness of young people, foster respect for the law, and prevent legal violations.
During the meeting, police officers explained key legal principles and shared insights into their work in maintaining public order. Students had the opportunity to ask questions of interest and received detailed, informative answers.


On September 21, 2025, students of groups Sis-11 and Metr-33 took part in the citywide cleanup event “Clean Kazakhstan: Astana — an Example of Cleanliness and Order,” aimed at promoting environmental awareness.
The citywide cleanup held in Astana under the slogan “Clean Kazakhstan: Astana — an Example of Cleanliness and Order” not only contributed to improving the city’s appearance but also played an important role in shaping the environmental consciousness of young people. Students of the Department of Standardization, Certification, and Metrology actively participated in this event.
During the cleanup, students worked in various areas of the city, collecting litter and taking care of green spaces. Their enthusiasm and teamwork served as an inspiring example for local residents. The students demonstrated in practice that developing environmental culture is not just about maintaining cleanliness, but about showing care and respect for the environment.
The event vividly reflected the civic responsibility and love of young people for nature. Such initiatives will continue in the future, turning the capital — the city of Astana — into a true symbol of cleanliness and order.
This cleanup was not just a one-day campaign but an important step calling on every member of society to treat nature with care and take an active part in protecting the environment.


Meeting with First-Year Students of the Department Dedicated to Promoting the Principles of Law and Order, Honesty, Integrity, Trust, and Anti-Corruption Awareness
On September 17, 2025, a meeting was organized for first-year students of the Transport and Energy Faculty with representatives of various departments of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The event was dedicated to promoting the principles of law and order, honesty, integrity, trust, and the prevention of corruption.
The Deputy Dean for Educational Work of the Transport and Energy Faculty, A.A. Omarova, informed students about the directions of social and educational activities, emphasized the importance of adhering to the Code of Honor and Student Conduct of L.N. Gumilyov ENU, and the need to follow high ethical standards. She also conducted a preventive discussion on the topic.
The event was attended by Ansagan Ergalykyzy Manenbaeva, Senior Officer of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service, and first-year students.
Galymbek Azadbekuly Maulenov discussed with the students issues of safety, law and order, legal awareness, and the protection of student rights. He also explained the importance of observing the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the internal regulations of the university.

On September 15, 2025, fourth-year students of the Department of Standardization, Certification, and Metrology took part in an educational and awareness event titled “Say No to Drugs.”
The main goal of the event was to encourage young people to resist drug use, promote the rejection of harmful habits, and popularize a healthy lifestyle.
During the event, students were presented with concrete facts about the destructive impact of drugs on a person’s life, health, and future. Participants watched interactive presentations and short social videos. An open discussion was also organized on issues of drug addiction prevention and legal responsibility.
The keynote speaker emphasized the importance of holding such events, noting:
“Drugs are a tragedy not only for an individual but for society as a whole. Therefore, as an educational institution, we must encourage young people to stay away from this danger.”
The students showed great engagement and proposed their own ideas to strengthen preventive measures.
This educational initiative became an important step toward fostering a sense of personal responsibility among young people and changing their attitudes toward the problem of drug addiction.

On September 9, 2025, a curator hour on the topic "Honest Citizen" was held for first-year students, organized by Aygöz Asilkhanqyzy Akhmet. During the event, the importance of honesty, fairness, responsibility, and the development of an anti-corruption culture was explained to the students.
The curator organized a discussion with the students and provided real-life examples. The students shared their thoughts on the role of honesty and integrity in society. Such meetings help strengthen students' civic stance and contribute to their development as responsible and fair professionals in the future.


9.09.2025 for the 1st year students of the Department of standardization, certification and metrology, a meeting with a specialized psychologist was organized for psychological support
At L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, first-year students of the Department of Standardization, Certification, and Metrology met with professional psychologists. The main goal of the event was to provide psychological support during students’ adaptation to university life, strengthen their emotional resilience, and create conditions for personal development.
The meeting was organized by the university’s psychological service, whose representatives provided detailed information about the areas and content of psychological support. The specialists offered students effective ways to cope with common adaptation challenges such as emotional difficulties, stress, self-esteem issues, and time management.
During the event, participants were presented with:

The students showed a very high activity and discussed the history of independence of our country with a slide, showed a picture of the meeting of Kairat ryskulbekov with his mother during his stay in prison, revealed the importance of independence for the future of our country. At the end, the song" flying the Blue Flag " was performed.

On October 27, an open curatorial lesson on "Corruption is the enemy of society" was held in the Metrology-32 group.
The lesson was conducted by Associate Professor Kerimkulovzh.K. The teaching staff of the department "Standardization, certification and Metrology" was present.
The open lesson began with a historical overview of corruption. Further, the causes of corruption, types of corruption, methods of counteraction, and the world experience in combating corruption were considered. The anti-corruption tools in Kazakhstan and the message of the Head of State on combating corruption are considered. Then a discussion was held among the students. The students shared their views and gave good arguments and examples of countering corruption.
