Main results of scientific activities
In June 2017, a competition was announced for grant financing of projects for the commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities. By decision of the National Scientific Councils, the winner of the competition and the holder of a grant totaling 183 million tenge was the project “Increasing the energy efficiency of the technological equipment of KSP Steel LLP by introducing energy-saving heat pump technologies with the recovery of waste heat from the recycling water supply system,” the head of which is the director of the Research Institute “Energy Saving” and energy-efficient technologies", Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Thermal Power Engineering Altai Alimgazin. Please note that to participate in the competition from ENU. L.N. Gumilev, 19 applications were submitted, 7 of which were sent for consideration by the National Scientific Councils of the NNS.
On October 27, 2017, an agreement was signed to provide a grant for the commercialization of RNNTD between ENU named after. L.N. Gumilyov, Science Foundation JSC and business partner KSP Stell LLP. Currently, work is underway to implement the project together with the commercialization department.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed with the leading Finnish company Kaoko International. A number of specific steps have been outlined in the implementation of joint activities with this enterprise, including the supply of equipment, the implementation of a pilot project in Astana, the construction of a plant for the production of energy equipment in Kazakhstan (heat pumps, heat exchangers, etc.).
On November 1-2, 2017, negotiations were held with the president of the corporation, Niiles Airola, and the chief executive officer, Vladimir Oleshchenko, at which the main areas of further cooperation were outlined.
Let us remind you that the operator of the competition is JSC Science Foundation on behalf of the State Institution Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The competition was held with the aim of allocating grants for the implementation of projects for the commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities within the framework of priority sectors of the economy. Competitive applications from participants were accepted in the electronic application system on the website www.e-cloud.kz from June 12, 2017 to July 26, 2017. We congratulate Altai Shurumbaevich Alimgazin on receiving a grant for the commercialization of the project, we wish him success and speedy implementation of the project in the markets of Kazakhstan and abroad.
